Dr. Michael Morris, M.D., F.A.C.S., was featured in Lake & Sumter Style Magazine’s Health Pros feature! Dr. Morris explained the evolution of Ocala Eye and what our foundation has been built on. Dr. Morris has been with Ocala Eye for 30 years and has personally seen Ocala Eye’s growth. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Morris has provided between outcomes after cataract surgery as technology has gotten better in his tenure. Dr. Morris says, “When I started my career, a good cataract surgery was one performed without complications. Now, a good one is where the patient no longer needs to wear glasses. We have many new options in terms of lens implants after we remove the cloudy lens from the eye. Not only can people see better after having their cataracts removed, they can also have independence from glasses.”
Michael Morris, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon.. His primary interests are medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma, anterior segment surgery, and the latest implementations of customized cataract care utilizing advanced procedures and techniques to restore youthful vision. Dr. Morris is also actively involved in glaucoma research, where he continues to test new glaucoma treatments.
