About Dr. Rajiv Badal
Rajiv Badal, O.D., practices comprehensive optometry, performing routine eye exams and contact lens fittings in Ocala. He is passionate about protecting his patient’s vision and enjoys meeting new people.
Dr. Badal grew up in Ocala and always knew he wanted to work close to home. As an Ocala native, he graduated from West Port High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Florida. After graduating with honors from UF, Dr. Badal earned his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.
Dr. Badal knew he wanted to be an Optometrist while in high school. He was fortunate to have been able to job shadow in high school and learn more about the field of optometry before going to college.
Before joining Ocala Eye, Dr. Badal completed his residency in primary eye care with an emphasis on Ocular Disease at Nova Southeastern University. During his residency, he precepted optometry students, lectured courses, and completed rotations with multiple Ophthalmology sub-specialists in South Florida.
He is also a member of American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Badal is dedicated to providing the best possible eye care while creating lasting relationships with each of his patients.
