Jennie Hawkins, LDO

Jennie Hawkins, LDO, is a Licensed Dispensing Optician. She has been practicing opticianry for twenty years and started out when she was 19-years-old, learning everything she knows from a master optician. Jenny has been at Ocala Eye for the last 7 ½ years.  She loves what she does, and helping people see is extremely rewarding for her. 

The field of opticianry is forever evolving, and Jenny loves learning new things. She is a proud mom to a family of four, including a 16-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. Jenny and her husband spend most of their downtime saltwater fishing, and her kids also enjoy it just as much as they do! The family mainly fishes on the west coast, and sometimes they go as far as 40-50 miles offshore. 

Jenny is a diehard Miami Dolphins fan and loves going to Miami for the games. Making memories with her family is Jenny’s top priority, as well as teaching them core values. Her family motto is “stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready” AND “tight lines”!!
