Sarah Cooper, APRN, is an oculoplastic and aesthetics advanced practice registered nurse at Ocala Eye. She has always felt a great fulfillment in helping others.
When she was just 17-years-old, her father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Through that experience, Sarah met her father’s nurse practitioner which led her to the wonderful career of nursing. She worked in oculoplastics as a circulating OR nurse, which is where her passion for surgery and aesthetics began.
Sarah’s journey into nursing began at the University of South Florida where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2018. Sarah received her APRN certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Before joining the Ocala Eye team in 2020, Sarah was a nurse at a high-volume eye surgery center where her surgical experience included ophthalmologic procedures to treat cataracts and glaucoma, plastic and aesthetic procedures (MOHS), facial plastics, and blepharoplasty.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys fishing with her husband, staying active, and playing team sports when possible.
