About Dr. Shaun Holliday
Dr. Shaun Holliday is Ocala Eye’s newest optometrist to join our team at Ocala Eye. Dr. Holliday is passionate about providing comprehensive eye exams and making meaningful connections with his patients. Dr. Holliday sees patients in our Villages office on Laurel Manor and our newest clinic at Fenney.
Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Dr. Holliday now calls Central Florida home. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology with specialization in Developmental Genetics at Stony Brook University and earned his Vision Science degree at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. Dr. Holliday also earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout his optometric training, he achieved membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric academic honor society. Additionally, he was selected to be part of the Gold Key leadership honor society and chosen as a founding member of Nova’s Ambassador program.
Dr. Holliday completed his internships at Nova Southeastern University, training in various specialty clinics including specialty contact lenses, low vision, pediatrics, glaucoma, retina and other ocular diseases. After completion of his training, Dr. Holliday received the award for NSU’s Pediatric and Binocular Vision Clinical Excellence.
He is board-certified through the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. His professional memberships include the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
